Mentoring and Career Development Opportunities
Call for CVs and Jobs:
Are you on the job market? Are you hiring? We welcome your submission. The CV/Job book will be made available via e-mail, SMDM Connect, and through the meeting app. Please send submissions to David Chartash (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Cara McDermott (email@example.com) by Friday, September 29.
This lunch, which will be held on Sunday, October 22 from 12:30 – 2 PM, is a wonderful opportunity for trainees to meet and talk informally with each other and with senior members. Conversations continue over the course of the meeting. Sign up for the lunch with meeting registration. Please contact Tara Lavelle (TLavelle@tuftsmedicalcenter.org) with queries.
Mentoring at the Annual Meeting:
As in previous years, the SMDM Career Development Committee is excited to offer a formal one-to-one mentoring program this year. Our one-to-one mentoring sessions at the Annual Meeting offer the opportunity for new meeting attendees, trainees, junior faculty, and others to meet and get advice from established members of the Society in an informal setting. The focus of the one-to-one meeting is usually to discuss career development issues, but topics may also include tips on navigating the conference, pathways to success in the field of medical decision making, advice and insight about professional development, or how to become more active in the Society.
