In this 1-hour webinar, Dr Mike Paulden from the University of Alberta will present a modern approach for teaching introductory decision analytic modeling for health technology assessment using Microsoft Excel, R and Python.
Under this approach, students learn how to build efficient spreadsheet models using modern dynamic array formulas, with automated real-time feedback provided at each step to correct any errors. After completing each part of the spreadsheet model, students are also taught the corresponding R and Python code, which they can download as a script or execute in their web browser.
This teaching approach has been used successfully in workshops offered in Canada, the UK, Sweden and Ireland over recent months.
