Society for Medical Decision Making

The virtual 42nd Annual North American Meeting will be held on the four Tuesdays of October 2020 in order to encourage a flexible attendance schedule. We are delighted to announce that our Keynote Speaker is Harvey Fineberg of The Moore Foundation. In addition to the keynote, the rich scientific program includes panel discussions, symposia, short courses, and individual abstracts with asynchronous discussion. The virtual platform will allow for innovation and flexibility: convenient e-poster sessions and on demand program content are some of the positive changes attendees will experience.  Many sessions will be pre-recorded and available throughout the month of October to registrants, and the sessions that occur live will also be available after the presentation for the rest of the month.

Other activities planned include special professional development sessions on publishing your research, building relationships with funders and policy makers, insider tips for working with the NIH and PCORI and the always popular one-on-on mentoring program.  We are planning for a very special welcome reception, special mid-day wellness sessions to help keep you focused, and an informative Presidential Address and Business Meeting. The Lee Lusted Student Prizes and SMDM Leadership Awards will also be presented during the meeting.
