SMDM 2020 Virtual Meeting Scholarship Packages are Available!

The Society for Medical Decision Making has secured funding for a limited number of scholarships for meeting registration and membership. The scholarships include full registration for the 2020 SMDM  Virtual Annual Meeting (Tuesdays this October), membership in SMDM through December 2021, and online access to the SMDM journals.

Applicants must fall into one of these categories:

  • Resident in a Low- or Middle-Income Country (LMICs) as identified by the World Bank; or
  • Trainee, defined as undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students in clinical or non-clinical settings; and post-doctoral students, residents, and fellows in academic settings. Faculty and full-time research employees do not qualify as trainees.

SMDM is committed to inclusivity and supporting a diverse community. It values the diversity of racial and cultural identity and background, nationality, sexual and affectional orientation, gender identity and its expression, religious background and belief, age, mental and physical health and ability and other diverse identities and their intersections. Preference will be given to assist those traditionally underrepresented in science and to those who have no alternative funding to support their participation.

Trainees also need to submit the Trainee Verification Form.  Completed applications must be received by September 27, 2020 to be considered.

SMDM gratefully acknowledges the support of the following organizations that have contributed to this special SMDM Scholarship Program:
