One-to-One Mentorship Program | Call for Mentees

On behalf of the Career Development Committee of the Society for Medical Decision Making, we invite you to participate as a mentee in this year's One-to-One Mentorship Program. The 46th Annual Meeting will be held in Boston, USA, 27-30 October 2024.

The SMDM in-conference One-to-One Mentorship Program is seeking mentees, including students, post-doctoral fellows, other trainees, or early career faculty/scientists (who feel they would benefit from additional mentorship). Early career faculty/scientist members can serve as both mentors (to students and post-docs) and mentees. The call for mentors is currently closed.

The One-to-One Mentorship program connects trainees and early career researchers with established members for advice on career and professional development within the medical decision-making field. Paired mentees and mentors will arrange a meeting at their convenience during the annual meeting. Discussions may cover pathways to success, involvement in SMDM activities, and more. This program aims to foster networking and long-term collegial relationships.

If you would like to participate as a mentee, please fill out the brief web-based survey by Wednesday, 2 October 2024. To facilitate the matching process, you will be asked to review a list of SMDM mentors who have volunteered for this program. You will be matched to a mentor based on your preference and your research interests. This year, we are refining the matching process to ensure more mentors and mentees are successfully paired. Thank you for your participation!
