43rd Annual North American Meeting Update
Due to the continued uncertainty around COVID-19, the SMDM Board of Trustees decided to present the 43rd North American Annual Meeting virtually on 18-20 October 2021. The Co-Chairs, Negin Hajizadeh, MD, MPH and Victoria Shaffer, PhD are working hard with their team to develop an interactive meeting centered around the theme “From the Individual to Society: How Systems and Societal Factors Shape Health Care Decisions". Although the meeting will not be held in Toronto, we are committed to ensuring that a Canadian perspective will be represented. We are excited to be able to increase our global reach in presenting this meeting through a virtual format.
The SMDM is appreciative that the Toronto Westin Harbour Castle Hotel has agreed to cancel the meeting contract, and we encourage members visiting Toronto to stay at the hotel whenever possible.
