After the enthusiastic response and lively discussion at the SMDM meeting in Michigan this June, “Shared Decision Making in Action: Real-World Cases and Challenges (#SDMIRL)” returns—this time as a webinar hosted by the Shared Decision Making Special Interest Group.
In this session, discussants will explore three to four real clinical cases from both adult and pediatric care, demonstrating how shared decision making (SDM) can be applied in diverse settings—and examining situations where it may not be the most appropriate approach. Through these cases, we will unpack the real-world nuances, barriers, and opportunities in bringing SDM into everyday practice.
This highly interactive webinar will invite active participation from attendees, weaving in their ideas, questions, and experiences throughout the presentation.
