Support for SMDM’s Goals Fund: This unrestricted donation supports the Society in achieving our strategic goals.
LMIC and Trainee Scholarship Fund: Help trainees with financial need attend the Annual Meeting! This fund supports our scholarships, which are open to trainees with accepted abstracts and demonstrated financial need from any country, trainees with financial need from LMICs (Low-Middle Income Countries as defined by the World Bank list here), or attendees with accepted abstracts and financial need from LMICs. A team of volunteers (members of the SMDM Finance Committee; Diversity, Anti-Racism & Transformation Team; and the Development Committee review applicants each year and select recipients of partial or full scholarships based on need and the funds available.
SMDM Early Scholars Award: Increase diversity in the field of Medical Decision Making by supporting the Early Scholars Award. Learn more about the award here.
SMDM Dependent Care Fund: The dependent care fund supports the dependent care scholarship to the Annual Meeting. Attendees who need assistance with child, elder, or partner care in order to participate fully in the meeting are eligible to apply. A team of volunteers (members of the SMDM Finance Committee; Diversity, Anti-Racism & Transformation Team; and the Development Committee review applicants each year and select in-person recipient(s) of up to USD 500 for based on need and the funds available.
