About this Event
A new forum for emerging ideas, peer feedback, and collaboration in shared decision-making research. Our first session features two exciting presentations at the intersection of AI and patient-centered decision-making.
Join us on May 26 at 9:00 AM (Eastern) for the launch of our SDM Exchange: Works-in-Progress Series—a new forum to share emerging ideas, get feedback, and spark collaboration in shared decision-making research.
Our first session features two exciting presentations at the intersection of AI and patient-centered decision-making:
• Tina Cheng (PhD Candidate, Duke University) will present her work on using large language models (LLMs) to reason about and predict patient preferences, with the goal of supporting surrogate decision-making.
• Shravya Murali (PhD Candidate, Duke-NUS Medical School) will introduce My Voice, an interactive voice- and text-based chatbot designed to support patients with metastatic cancer in expressing their preferences and navigating complex treatment decisions.
This is a great opportunity to engage with innovative, early-stage research and contribute your perspectives.
