This call is for Virtual Courses, not for proposing short courses for the Annual Meeting. While courses may be submitted for both, title and content should not be exactly the same, and SMDM will work to schedule an in-person course prior to a Virtual Course if they feature similar content and the same instructor(s).
Virtual Courses are typically 3-4 hours in duration. Faculty are provided a USD 200 honorarium per course, which is split if there are multiple faculty presenters.
Virtual Course proposals are reviewed by the SMDM Education Committee. Scheduling of virtual courses involves many considerations, however if your course is not immediately selected it will be held on our potential course list for the future.
